SRI LANKA Debt Treatment - May 10, 2005

Total external debt of the country $11700 million as of December 31, 2003 , representing 64% of GDP (IMF report dated on September 13th,2005) $6235 million of which being due to the Paris Club as of January 01, 2005
Amounts treated $227 million
Categories of debts treated 100% of the amounts of principal and interest due from 1/1/2005 up to 31/12/2005 on loans from Governments or appropriate institutions of the Participating Creditor Countries, having an original maturity of more than one year, concluded before January 1, 2005, sall be deferred.
