The representatives of the Paris Club creditor countries and of the Government of the Russian Federation met in Paris on 15 and 16 June 2006 to examine the offer made by Russia to prepay the debts previously rescheduled in 1996 and 1999.
Substantial progress was made on the proposals. Consultations are continuing.
