Paris Club creditors held a meeting on 17 September, and welcomed the announcement by President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner that the Argentine government intends to pay in full its debt to the Paris Club.
Following the President’s decision, contacts are ongoing between the Paris Club and the Argentine authorities on the implementation of this payment, which would represent a very significant step towards the normalization of Argentina’s relationship with all its external creditors.
